POP TABS FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE: Beginning on Monday October 3 our school will be collecting pop can tabs for Ronald MacDonald House. Every pound of tabs equals approximately $3.00 and the money pays for a child and parent to stay at Ronald MacDonald house while the child is receiving treatment at CHEO. Watch for the pop can tab signs and please remember to donate. (MD –Oct 3)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
7/8 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: There will be a girls volleyball tryouts for grade 7-8 in the wood floor gym on Tuesday September 27th after school (3:00 pm). (JB –Sep 27)
GRADE 7 JUNIOR BAND AND GRADE 8 HONOUR BAND: There will be a band meeting this Wednesday at lunch for all grade 7 and 8 students in room 120. Please eat first. If you are unable to make it Wednesday at lunch, please see Mr. Card. (IC –Sep 28)
7/8 RUGBY: Any grade 7/8 boy or girl interested in trying out for the girl's or boy's flag rugby team should sign up outside Mr.Quinn/Mr. Nicoletti's office. First and Second tryout will be on Tuesday Sept. 27, and Wednesday Sept. 28th. (TQ –Sep 28)
ACTS (A CHANCE TO SERVE) is an opportunity for students in grades 7 & 8 to learn how to become an agent of change in our community. What does this mean? Come and find out on Thursday September 29 at the beginning of lunch in the chapel. (MD –Sep 29)

GRADE 8 TEACHERS – SKILLS CANADA: There will be a SKILLS CANADA presentation on MONDAY, OCTOBER 3 for Grade 8 students. Skills Presentation will be in the school library and should take 1 class period. Please be on time.

Period 2: 8-06, 8-07, 8-08, 8-09. French presentation in the library.

SR. BOYS VOLLEYBALL: There is an away game on Monday September 26 and we are travelling to Notre Dame. A practice on Wednesday, September 28 after school in the wood floor gym and an away game on Thursday, September 29 travelling to Holy Trinity! Go Titans Go! REMINDER TO ALL CO-OP STUDENTS: Friday September 30, 2011 is a Co-op Integration Day! Students should go to the computer lab for their morning or afternoon session. Mrs. O'Sullivan's students should go to the computer lab on the third floor (room 318) and Mr. Nearing's students should go to the computer lab on the second floor (room 213). NEW YORK CITY 2012: Students who took information packages and permission forms are reminded to return the permission form and the deposit by September 30 at the latest. This is a very strict timeline. 48 students are needed to run the trip. (JS –Sep 30)
LET JUSTICE FLOW is a social justice and leadership workshop for high school students. It takes place at Waupoos Farm on Friday October 21 to Saturday October 22. Please see Martha if you are interested in attending. (MD –Oct 11)

QUILTS! We have a unique opportunity for students to earn their volunteer hours right here at our school!
Victoria’s Quilts Canada is a non-profit organization making quilts for people with Cancer living anywhere in Canada. Demand for these quilts has increased dramatically in the past few years. Victoria’s Quilts is looking for students. Both boys and girls can help to tie and finish the quilts. Sewing skills are not required. Please sign up in Student Services. (KW –Sep 30)
