clip_image002ARE YOU A FAST TEXTER??  If so, you can win concert tickets to a sold out concert this summer.  Show off your speed starting Monday at lunch.  Look for the banner in the atrium.  $1 per entry allows you to record your score and enter a draw to win any one of hundreds of dollars worth of prizes.  Yes... grade 7 and 8's, and staff... this means you too.  Free chocolate bar to the first 72 entrants!! All proceeds go to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. (LB –Apr  13)

clip_image004ATTENTION EVERYONE WITH A SWEET TOOTH! April 11th to April 15th our Business class will be selling cinnamon buns each morning in the atrium to support D.I.F.D.   What is D.I.F.D? D.I.F.D stands for Do it For Daron, a charity that supports teen mental health.  We'll be selling each cinnamon bun for 2 dollars and all profits will be going to D.I.F.D.  Each bun you buy also gives you a chance to win a prize!  Please support the cause and buy a delicious cinnamon bun... besides that, Bun Appetite! clip_image008YOGA: The spring schedule for Yoga will run for 8 weeks from Monday, March 28th, 2011 until Monday, June 6th, 2011, from 3:05 – 4:05 pm.  (There are no classes April 25th, May 2nd and May 23rd.)  Anyone interested in signing up for the next yoga session can contact julierollwagen@rogers.com, or, registration forms are available in the main office.  (JR –Apr 18)

clip_image020BASEBALL PRACTICES: The baseball practice on Tuesday April 12 (today) has been CANCELLED.  Next practice is scheduled for Wednesday April 13 at the Hornet’s Nest field.  Meet at the back of the school at 3:15pm. Be there and be positive.  (RR –Apr 13)

clip_image024OVERSEAS ENRICHMENT TRIP 2012 – RETURN TO VIMY RIDGE: Next year we are planning a trip, in conjunction with a number of high schools in our board, to Return to Vimy Ridge to participate in the ceremonies hosted by the Ministry of Veteran Affairs to commemorate the 95th Anniversary of The Battle of Vimy Ridge. Students will represent a given soldier who died at Vimy Ridge by creating a tribute and wearing a shirt at the ceremony bearing the name of the soldier. The 12 day trip will take us to Milan, Venice (Italy), Bern, Lucerne (Switzerland), Paris, Normandy(France), Ypres, Dieppe, Passchendaele, Flanders and Brussels (Belgium). We will have daily educational tours. More information to follow. (Open to gr. 9-12) departure date: March 31 2012. (AB –Apr 29)

clip_image038GRADUATION CEREMONY: The Grad Ceremony will be held Wednesday June 29th at 1:00pm at Mother Teresa HS. Each graduate will be given 2 tickets for their guests. Students that require more than 2 tickets must request the number of extra tickets by signing up in Student Services between Monday May 2nd and Friday May 6th. Signing up does not guarantee you will receive the number requested. Students should drop by Student Services the following week to find out how many extra tickets they will receive. (JH –May 6)
