WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
If you would like to make Christmas craft or
card for your family and friends, please visit our Maker Space in the Learning
Commons during lunch or spare. We have a variety of materials to use. (MP Dec. 9)
Find the Titan Contest (TN Dec. 9)
From December 5-9, the Marketing class will be hiding one letter a day
somewhere within the school (common areas only). These letters spell out the
word T-I-T-A-N. Students must try to find these letters and once they do, they
have to take a selfie with the letter and direct message that picture to one of
our social media accounts. By the end of the week, we will tally all of our
results and select three winners.
How to Play:
Follow the official Titan Wear accounts on Twitter and/or Instagram
Find the ‘Letter of the Day’ somewhere in the school:
(Mon-T, Tues-I, Wed-T,
Thurs-A, Fri-N)
Take a ‘selfie’ with the letter in its original location
***Hint: Wear Titan Wear in the pic for more points!***
Direct Message (DM) the picture to the official Titan Wear accounts:

Prizes:
Third place prize will be a Mother Teresa High School Lanyard.

Rules:
This contest is open to all students in grades 9 to 12 who are not
taking Marketing.
There will be NO letters hidden inside of classrooms. Do NOT go into any
classrooms for this contest.
Photos must be sent as a Direct Message (DM) to either the Official
Twitter account or Official Instagram Account
(Insta @TitanWearOfficial - Twitter @ TitanWearOFFIC)
You MUST be following either the Twitter and/or Instagram
accounts.
Photos must be appropriate and must include at least one person in the
picture.
The owner of the social media account that submits the photo is the
official entrant into the contest.
For 1 Point (per day)
· Take a selfie-style picture with the
official ‘Letter of the Day’
For 2 Points (per day)
· If anyone in the picture is wearing
Titan Wear, you will get an extra point!
Maximum 10 points - (5 days, up to 2 points per day)
The winner will be the person who gets the most points. In the
event of a tie, a name will be drawn from the multiple winners.
Hey Titans! Are you ready to experience misadventures of Deloris
Van Cartier? Well, here is your chance! Tickets for Sister Act the musical are
now on sale during both lunches in the atrium. There will also be sales at the
door on show days which are Thursday December 8th at 7pm, Friday December 9th
at 7pm and Saturday December 10th at 2pm and 7pm! $9 adults and 47
students and seniors. You can also buy tickets through MTHS Online. Have
a laugh and sing along to the super catchy songs! Be a part of one

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
French
Club: Are you interested in socializing with your friends in
French? Would you like to help plan our Friday morning
French radio (over the intercom)? The 7/8 French Social Club will meet on
Thursdays during lunch, beginning this week. Sign up outside room 334.
Bring your lunch or see Mrs Francella or Mrs. Leahy for a French club pass if
you need to buy your lunch. (LF, CL Dec 22)
Grade 7/8 Students are invited to visit the Learning
Commons before school. Lunch passes have to be signed out every day.
Days for Gr.7/8 will alternate:
Mondays: Gr.7/8
Wednesdays & Fridays: Gr. 7 only
Tuesdays & Thursdays: Gr.8 only

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Peer Helpers Meeting Change: The Peer Helpers will now meet this Friday in room 310. This
meeting is mandatory for all active members. (PC Dec 9)
IMUM- Our Next IMUM meeting will be Thursday, December 8th in Room 205 at 11:30.
We will be having a guest speaker so all members must attend. See you then. (KM Dec. 8)
Toronto
Trip: Attention all Grade 11 and 12 students taking the Ancient
history course this year (first or second semester)...permission forms for this
year's Toronto trip are available for pick-up in room 304. Forms are due
back asap in order to secure a spot for the trip. Please see Mrs.
Galbraith for any questions. (MG Dec. 9)
Reach for The Top Intramurals: Thursday December 8 - Senior Lunch: Learning Commons Seminar Room The

Cappies: Please meet in Rm 138
at LUNCH on Tuesday, December 6 for a mandatory brief meeting to discuss
preparations for the upcoming performance of Sister Act. If you cannot
attend, please speak with your Cappies lead or see Mrs. Simpson.
Peer Helpers: Our next Peer Helpers meeting will be on Wednesday, December
7th at lunch in room 310. All members should attend. (PC Dec. 7)
Each year, SHAD
provides the opportunity for 700 grades 10, 11 and 12 students from across Canada and internationally to attend a
month-long summer program, in-residence at one of our Canadian host
universities focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering,
arts & math). See Ms. D'Angela if you have any questions in room
211 during period 3 or 4.
During the lunch period, no High School student is permitted on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the
new wing which is the 7/8 classroom areas. (MK)

The Milk Bags 4 Haiti Club meets on Wednesdays at senior lunch time in
