If we don't receive any pictures from this event, it will not be covered in the Yearbook!

ATTENTION GRADE 7/8 STUDENTS:

RED MAPLE MEETING CHANGED:
Pizza Party Plans....Presentation...Prizes...and Picture. The Red Maple Club will meet on Tuesday, January 22 (not Wednesday) during junior lunch in the library seminar room. A group picture will be taken so bring your books and lunches and try to arrive by 12:45.

TODAY and MONDAY will be the ONLY 2 days that the list will be posted and changes will be considered. STRATFORD FESTIVAL 2008: We are planning our 7th annual trip to Stratford Ontario from Tuesday, October 14-Thursday October 16, 2008. This three day trip will be of particular interest to next year's English, Music and Drama students because the season's playbill is amazing. Students in grades 8-11 this year are able to participate. We have secured tickets for two Shakespearean plays: Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet as well as two musicals: The Music Man and Cabaret. Workshops, discussions, and tours are also part of this experience. All grade 9 students study Romeo & Juliet and grade 12 students study Hamlet. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the drama live? To kick off this activity, all English classes are encouraged to submit a new name for silent reading time. Any and all classes that submit entries will be considered for prizes. Prizes include ten $5 gift cards for Indigo in Barrhaven for the ten runners up. The grand prize of a magazine subscription will be awarded to the class of the winning submission. Please pass along your entries to Mr. Loy, Mrs. Simpson or Mrs. O’Sullivan by Tuesday January 22, 2008. The winners will be announced on Thursday January 24, 2008. NEW PROGRAM AT ALGONQUIN COLLEGE: Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley (Pembroke Campus) is launching a new Golf and Ski Operations Management Program in Fall 2008. They have launched a new web site that provides additional information about the program. It is the only program in Canada that combines golf and ski operations, it will train graduates for a full-time career.
