Day 3 - Gr. 7 & 8 and Day 2 - H.S.
7/8 Fall/Winter Teams: Yearbook pictures will be taken for the following teams TODAY at lunch in the Caf gym at 1:00 PM: Girls Volleyball; Girls Soccer; Boys Soccer; Wrestling ; Girls Basketball; Boys Basketball.
7/8 Notice: If you have signed up for the X-Fast program--$3 Payment is due by TODAY to secure your spot. If you do not pay by Wednesday your spot will be given up. Boot Sizes, Height, Weight will be needed as well. Date of Program: Monday February 12th period 5 or 6. See Ms. McKenna.
7/8 Boys and Girls Swim Team: Do you love to swim? Please sign up outside room 204 if you are interested in joining the 7/8 Swim Team. You just have to be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool without stopping, that's it! Space is limited, so sign up early. There will be a meeting Friday at lunch for all those who signed up. Our first practice will be next Thursday, February 15.
Red Maple Club: meets TODAY during Junior Lunch. A Mother Teresa staff member will be discussing "The Isabel Factor".
Library Notice: The library will be closed after school on Thursday this week.
7-8 Boys Basketball: The 7-8 Boys Basketball team will be having practices TODAY and Friday this week from 3:10 to about 4:30. If you can't make it, please tell Mr. Bouchard.
Yearbook: The yearbook has posted lists of personalization (the name that will appear on the front of the book) and icons bought, for all students who purchased yearbooks. Please, check the list to make sure your name is on it, if you bought and that spelling is correct. Any problems? See Mrs. Hopkins, or Mrs. Birmingham by Thursday this week.
Live It Up! Reminder to all members of Live It Up that there is a very important meeting during HS lunch today, in the Career Centre.
Prom Committee: The next prom committee meeting will be this Thursday, February 8 in room 202 during high school lunch.
Senior Cheerleading Team: This is a reminder for all girls on the senior cheerleading team of our very important meeting at lunch today in room 326. Please bring your lunch.
Notice: Photography and Drama Production students may pick up their portfolio books in room 120 starting today. They will be available only during first period and before home room. Please do not attempt to pick them up after this time as is will disrupt grade 7/8 classes in progress.
Math Contest #1: University of Waterloo Contests (Cayley, Pascal, and Fermat) - We will be holding practice sessions for students that signed up to write the U of Waterloo Math contests during the lunch hour TODAY, and next Wednesday, February 14. Practice sessions will take place in room 302.
Math Contest #2: Canadian Math League - The next CNML math contest (4th of 6 contests) takes place on Tuesday, February 13. Contests will still take place in the library however, they will now be written during period 1. Student must report to homeroom for attendance, then come down to the library following the morning announcements.
Intramurals: High school students wishing to participate in the next intramural sport - BASKETBALL - should sign up at the table in the atrium until Wednesday February 14. Teams are co-ed and must have at least one male and one female participant. It is a 3 on 3 half-court format. No more than 3 basketball team members on a team (that includes girls and boys)
Athletic Council: Soccer was a great success, but now we need athletic council members to sign up for Basketball sign ups and scoring for the weeks ahead. See Mr. Prigent and Ms. Coyle for sign ups in the Phys. Ed. office.
Driver's Ed - Winter session: Only six people have registered for this session. If we don't get any more students, the course will not be offered at Mother Teresa High School. Please pick up the registration forms from Student Services. February 12th is the deadline for registration.
Boys Hockey Team: Hockey team members are reminded of their re-scheduled game on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9. Teachers are to dismiss the team at 1:45, bus leaves at 2 pm sharp - there will be no transportation home (scoring the game: Akeem Alli and Kadeem Pennycooke) Team members are asked to look at the remaining hockey schedule on the Phys. Ed. office door or see Mr. Prigent to confirm their status for Friday's game.
