Photo Retakes: 

School photo retake day with be on October 13th, 2021. If you missed the first photo day, this is your opportunity to have your picture taken. 

Math Help: 

 All students in grades 6-11 can access free 1:1 math tutoring with Ontario Certified teachers online Monday-Friday 9am to 9pm and 3:30pm to 9pm Sunday. More information can be found here.

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ultimate Frisbee:

- Any students interested in trying out for 7/8 COED ultimate frisbee, please sign up in front of 331. Nicoletti

- Cross Country Team: Practice Monday, October 4th and bring your forms signed to Mme Côté. The Race is Wednesday, October 6th; meet Mme Côté in the courtyard at 1h00.

-Any girls interested in trying out for the 7/8 girls soccer team are asked to read the information outside of room 238 and add their name to the sign up sheet. 

- Tryouts for the 7/8 boys soccer will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5th and Wednesday Oct. 6th after school from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Please meet in the courtyard right after school.

This interactive, online experience will introduce Ontario high school students to the fascinating skilled trades and technology sectors.  Students will learn about these amazing sectors, hear from industry experts, and learn how they can build a rewarding career in a range of growing industries.  The event will include interactive workshops, talks from industry experts, networking opportunities, and a chance to explore these amazing career pathways. This event is free to attend thanks to generous funding from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development’s Skills Development Fund. Students and/or Parents/Guardians can register individually to participate   Register now

Start and run your very own business! Interested in the world of business? Looking for new skills to help you get a job? Joining the JA Company Program (Virtual), a free four-month (Oct 20 to March) after-school program. With guidance from volunteer mentors from the business community, the teams build their own start-up from the ground up! Eco Club

Are you interested in saving the planet? You should join Eco Club! We will organize a variety of drives and events throughout the year aimed at making SMT a greener school. You can pick and choose your time commitment.The first meeting will be on Tuesday, October 12th. You must sign up by then due to cohorting. Do you care about global solidarity? SMT has a few subsidized spots available for students at the upcoming 'Youth 4 Others Advocacy Symposium'. The theme is Solidarity in a COVID 19 World. This is a virtual event on Oct. 23-24 where you will be able to listen to inspiring speakers, participate in meaningful workshops, and connect with others who are seeking to build a just future for all. Through solidarity, we can address vaccine inequity, global migration and social and ecological justice issues. The events are free and anyone may attend. Each event will be divided up into four 30-minute sessions, where students can learn about the universities of their choice and ask questions.
