HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Gr. 11 and 12 Students.  If you are interested in taking an additional course, OCDSB Night School will run in the evenings starting Monday, January 18, 2021 and end on Thursday, February 11, 2021.  For information about course offerings and how to register, please visit: ocdsb.ca/continuing_education/night_school.  Please don't hesitate to contact your Guidance Counsellor if you have questions.  (MB Feb. 11) 

 STUDENT SERVICES

Winter Dual Credit Program for Gr. 11 and/or 12 Students: The Dual Credit program is an exciting opportunity to take a College course while you are in high school and to earn a course credit at both institutions. You will be completing a real College course that counts towards a certificate, diploma or degree program. The Dual Credit Application Portal is now open for the Winter term.  The following link provides more information to the dual credit course options: https://www.algonquincollege.com/ap/courses/The tentative outline for the requested date & time for each course are provided as well.  Deadline for applying is January 22, 2021.  If you have questions, please connect with your guidance counsellor.  Applications are considered on a first come, first served basis and seats are limited.  (MB Jan. 22)

Discover Year is a structured gap year program that helps students develop career and leadership skills through paid work terms, volunteer, travel, weekly life skills workshops, and coaching. The program prepares students for making a post-secondary and career direction decision they’re confident and excited about.
