Peer Helpers: Our next meeting is Friday,

Student
Tutors Needed for Math - We are currently in need of students in
Grade 10-12 who can tutor math. Tutors are paid $15/hour or you can earn
community service hours. Tutoring takes place from 3:00-4:00 at the
school. Please see Mrs. McCarthy in Room 200 to pick up an

NEW YORK CITY 2020 - OPEN SPOT:
There is ONE newly opened spot for the
New York City trip in the spring: May 14th - 17th 2020. Any grade 11 or 12 student interested in joining the trip is asked to
see Mr. Rowley in Room 136 for more information and the necessary paperwork. (MR Nov.15)
Career:
Carousel: On Tuesday, November
5th at 9 am we will holding a Career Carousel in the atrium for Grades
10-12. If you, or someone you know, would like to come in to speak to

Attention all Gr. 11 & 12 students - Registration for Algonquin College Dual
Credit program (winter term) will open
on October 21 and close November 8. This is a great opportunity
for students who would like to experience taking a course in college while in
high school (earning a credit in both). There are many courses
offered. If you would like more information, please speak to your

Shakespeare first-timers and fans alike. Find
your voice, build confidence, and hone
your public speaking chops by participating in the 26th Shakespeare on the
Platform competition, November 6th at 6 PM in the University of
Ottawa - Academic Hall.
Explore the seasons of life and
the human condition: love, loss, courage, hatred, politics ... in the Bard's
brilliant soliloquies and sonnets. Get expert feedback and win some
of the $1250 in prize money.

STUDENT SERVICES
Shad Canada
is a STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, math) and entrepreneurship
program for students in grades 10 and 11. Labs, seminars, hands-on
workshops, a hands-on challenge to develop a plan and prototype that solves a
real-world issue. Live on campus at a Canadian university in July. Application
deadline is November 18, 2019. Shad2020 runs from July 5 to July 31.
