ITALY TRIP 2021 UPDATE--Only 5 spots left!! Spots are filling up so don't delay. Return your completed forms to Mr Pelletier in room 110. If you haven't gotten the forms and are interested in going on this amazing trip, see Mr Pelletier in room 110 to pick them up. Forms are also outside his door in case he isn't there. (MP Nov.29)

Donations of clean, new socks are still being collected this week for the Barrhaven Legion's Socks for the Homeless campaign. Please bring your donations to the sock box outside the caf. Thank you for your generosity so far! (SG Nov. 22)

Anti-Bullying week: Did you know that 75% of students have been affected by bullying? Everyone has heard about it, seen it, experienced it. Let's take some time this week to tip the scales! Be on the lookout for classroom activities as well as lunch activities. All organized by your grade 12 religion class! Come on out and support their efforts! (PC Nov 22)

Technovation: To all interested Girls (Gr. 7 - 12): registration forms are due to Resource (Rm 232) no later than Friday, November 29th. (SH Nov. 29)

The Scholastic Book Fair is in the Learning Commons: Every year Scholastic provides several amazing books and gifts to purchase in our “bookstore” (Learning Commons Seminar Room). Both high school and intermediate students are welcome to drop by before, after school, or during the lunch hour. All funds raised are used to buy literacy resources for our Learning Commons. 7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention grade 7/8 students! Bring a pair of clean, new socks to the sock box outside the cafeteria on Friday at lunch and receive a free bag of chips! Socks are being collected for the Barrhaven Legion's Socks for the Homeless campaign and will be distributed to those in need in Ottawa this winter. (SG Nov. 22)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Classroom recycling and composting tips of the week: (AP Nov.29)
1. Keep liquid and food out of recycling: Please empty all food and drink from bottles, juice boxes, yogurt containers, etc. Rinse them before placing in the blue bin, if possible.
2. Remove straws from juice boxes before recycling juice boxes.
3. Place all food waste, kleenex and paper towel in the compost bin, NOT the garbage.

Shad Canada is a STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, math) and entrepreneurship program for students in grades 10 and 11.  Labs, seminars, hands-on workshops, a hands-on challenge to develop a plan and prototype that solves a real-world issue. Live on campus at a Canadian university in July. LF volunteers - Christmas Kettles - The Salvation Army - November 15th to December 24th.
