TITANWEAR IS ON SALE NOW.
This year's Titanwear campaign will run
until October 15. The flyer and the link to order is on the
school website at the bottom of the "our school" tab. Grad wear
is also available. Sample sizes are in Room 216. Come on up any

Fundraiser (Pizza and pop): Don't forget to bring your money to order your
pizza and pop to support your 7/8 students council to your homeroom
teacher (2.00$ pizza, 1.50$ pop). The fundraiser will be held Wednesday, October 16 after school (You
can grab your pizza and pop before catching your bus). This money will help us
plan different activities throughout the year such as your upcoming

Beyond Hate Alliance: The BHA will return to our
regular meeting time on Thursday at
lunch in room #333. All those who support safety and inclusion for
LGBTQ+ students are welcome.

Any student interested in joining the 7/8 WRESTLING TEAM is
asked to pick up an interest/permission letter from Mr.
Quinn or pick the form up from the yellow folder on
Mr. Quinn's office door. This form must be signed and

Student Vote for the Federal Election- Thursday, October 17
Attention all
high school students! You will have an opportunity to participate in a
mock vote for the upcoming federal election on Thursday, October 17. This will be a good opportunity to research
the different platforms of political parties (see websites below) and make an
informed choice. The following candidates will be listed on the ballots:

Club!! Any grade 9-12 students interested in leadership
opportunities through community involvement, or who wish to complete their
volunteer hours is welcomed to join Key Club! Meetings will be held on

Attention all Gr. 11 & 12 students -
Registration for Algonquin College Dual Credit program (winter term) will open on October 21 and close November 8.
This is a great opportunity for students who would like to experience
taking a course in college while in high school (earning a credit in
both). There are many courses offered. If you would like more
information, please speak to your guidance counsellor. You can also

Swim Team: If you are interested
in joining the swim team, please sign up outside room 310. We will have our

school students, Shakespeare first-timers and fans alike. Find your voice, build
confidence, and hone your public speaking chops by participating in the 26th
Shakespeare on the Platform competition, November 6th at 6 PM in the
University of Ottawa - Academic Hall.
Explore the seasons of life and the human condition: love, loss,
courage, hatred, politics ... in the Bard's brilliant soliloquies and
sonnets. Get expert feedback and win some of the $1250 in prize money.

Shad Canada is a STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts,
math) and entrepreneurship program for students in grades 10 and 11.
Labs, seminars, hands-on workshops, a hands-on challenge to develop a plan and
prototype that solves a real-world issue. Live on campus at a Canadian
university in July. Application deadline is November 18, 2019. Shad2020

Learners and other students requiring support.
The Program:
● Saturday learning will develop skills for
improved literacy (oral communication,
reading and writing) and numeracy. Students
will have opportunities to collaborate, leverage technology, develop study
habits, improve learning skills. Students can prepare for EQAO testing, school
day projects, tests, quizzes and culminating activities, etc. Students will
have access to technology. Fitness activities will also be incorporated into
the Saturday Learning Club. No cost to families. FREE to all students.
How to Register: Students currently enrolled in grades 8 or 9,
10. This program is designed for
students who are presently achieving at level
2 or lower. Regular attendance is required. Parents must complete and sign the
required registration form. The student’s day school principal must approve the

You? No...That's YOUR Job! Monsignor Paul Baxter (MPB) is holding it's annual Halloween Party on Friday, October 25 from 6 to 8 pm for its
JK to Gr 6 students, and we need your help! We are seeking 10 to 12 student
volunteers to assist with and commit to: Set up of decorations (from approximately 4 pm to 6 pm) Participation in Spooky Hallways
(from 6 pm to 8 pm)Take down of decorations (8 pm to 9:30 pm) Volunteers MUST commitment
to the entire time from 4 pm to 9:30 pm. (Earn volunteer hours for your
help.) This year's student theme will be CLOWN's & CREEPS.
We did it a few year's ago and it was a lot of fun! A short meeting will be
planned to go over expectations for the evening at a point before the event.If

Family Christmas Party following the Manotick Lions Christmas Parade on

LF Volunteers. Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join their cast and crew for a
truly haunting experience. They need volunteers who will scare our
visitors and leave them frightened of things that go bump in the night.
Haunt Night volunteers will be needed for the evenings of
October 24, 25, and 26 from 5pm – 10pm.
All time spent as part of our cast and crew can be used towards the 40
