HS Day 1

WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students with overdue books and fines are asked to go to the Learning Commons after morning announcements. (MP June 8)

At the end of the day, the expectation for students who are not involved in any extracurricular activities, is that students leave the building and make their way home.  Students who wish to remain after school to watch a school sporting event, are also expected to leave immediately after the game.  Make sure transportation arrangements are made in advance.  In the future, students who are found loitering around the school at the end of the day will formally speak to an administrator. During the lunch period, no High School student is permitted on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the new wing which is the 7/8 classroom areas. (MK)

7/8 Girl's Softball:  Next tryout will be Thursday, June 1st @ 7:30 a.m. (KS June 1)

Save the date! The Grade 8 semi-formal will take place June 23rd from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Info letters will go home the first week of June. (KS June 10)

The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.

​OSAP: Applying to post-secondary? Don't forget to apply to OSAP for bursaries (free $) and loans ($ you pay back).  The new OSAP is more accessible than ever so every student should check out the OSAP calculator to see what $ you qualify for! Also can you add this to the School News and Announcements on our website? Driver Education Program Summer 2017.  Registration forms are now available in Student Services. Register on-line at conted.ocsb.ca, by fax 613-224-9253, by mail or in person at the Ottawa Catholic School Board, 570 West Hunt Club Road, Nepean.  ​(KW)

Summer School Registration forms from the Ottawa Catholic School Board are now available in Student Services. Registration period is from May 1 to June 28.   Final registration date is Wednesday, June 28, from 9am to 1pm at St. Nicholas Adult High School (West Campus) 893 Admiral Avenue. Forms must be completed/signed by student and parent and then approved by a Student Services counsellor.   Summer school locations are Holy Trinity HS, Immaculata HS, St. Pius X HS and L.B. Pearson HS.  L.B. Pearson has online courses only. (KW)

The 105th Grey Cup and Festival is coming to Ottawa in November 2017 and RNation will welcome Our Nation. We R looking for the best of the best volunteers to be RNation Ambassadors and host the most memorable Grey Cup Festival ever. We can’t do it without you.​Volunteer dates start November 21st and conclude November 26th, 2017.
