WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
All students who have
an Epipen stored in the main office are asked to pick them up for the summer on
their last day of school. (MC June 30)
Summer Reading: Looking for some good
books to read this summer? Drop by the Learning Commons to pick up a permission
form, so that you can check out up to 10 books for the entire summer. Or, check

Due to the large number of people that did not pick up their Titan Tag
Licenses, there is a mandatory meeting on Wednesday,
June 15th in the Chapel during high school and 7/8 lunch for
everyone that is still remaining in the Titan Tag game. Again, it is MANDATORY, and will take place on Wednesday,
June 15th at lunch in the Chapel. (GH June 15)
Yearbooks will be given out on Thursday June, 16th from 7.30 in the
morning onwards and then again Thursday lunch and
Wednesday morning. You must bring school ID or other ID to pick up
your book and your book only. Come early to make sure you get your book. (AP June 24)
Students with overdue books and fines are asked
to go to the Learning Commons after morning announcements. (MP June 17)
Lost
and Found items will be set out in the atrium from June 20th to 24th.
Any items not claimed at the end of Friday's school
day will be donated to Big Brother, Big Sister. (SS June 24)
A
reminder to all students: Please
refrain from parking your bike behind the school. There is a designated area in
front of the school where bikes can be safely parked. When you park at the back
of the school, you are doing so at your own risk! (MC June 30)
A reminder to parents to please not do any pick-ups (or have cars) in the traffic circle
between 2:45-3:05pm. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. (MC)

Trent University - DNA Forensic
Science Camp - Tailored towards students 13-18 years of age, this camp is ideal for
those with a keen interest in science and forensics.

2016 Driver Education Program Registration Forms - now
available in Student Services. Students may register online at conted.ocsb.ca or by mailing/faxing/dropping off the
registration form to the Continuing Education Department (570 West Hunt Club

Summer School Registration: The summer registration forms are now available in Student Services and
must be signed by your counsellor. Classes run from July 6th to July 28th,
2016. ELearning classes start from July 4th to July 28th. Coop
and the Driver's Education program are also available in Summer
School.
Students cannot
register in a Make-Up course to upgrade a passing mark. Catholic School
Board registration: ongoing until June 29th. Public
Board registration deadlines: Reach Ahead registration dates are
from May 2nd to June 10th. Make Up registration dates are
from May 2nd to June 29th.
eLearning
registration dates are from April 4th to June 10th. (JH June 29)
Registration
forms for summer school for the Ottawa Catholic School Board are now available
in Student Services. Classes will run from July 4 to July 25.
Forms must be approved by your guidance counsellor. Forms without this
approval will not be accepted. Pre-register for this program by June

Summer Job and
Volunteer Opportunities for students at Waupoos Family Farm.
Come see information
sheet in Student Services for job descriptions. Summer volunteer
opportunities include assisting with programming,
cottage clean-up, laundry, animal care, gardening, weeding, painting, crafts,
outdoor games, etc. Mondays to Saturdays available. Summer volunteers are
encouraged to participate one day per week, for 6 to 8 weeks. Interview and
police check required. Must be a minimum of 14 years to apply as a

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The 5th season of JUST FOR
KICKS Special Needs Soccer kicks off on Thursday, June 23rd at Trend Arlington
field behind Knoxdale Public School. Practices run from 6:30 until 7:30pm. Children ages 5 to 18 with
developmental disabilities get fit and have fun while learning soccer-related
skills. PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME. We strive to give our players
1:1 support out on the field. There is no need to sign up in advance, simply
show up as your schedule permits. Volunteers of any age or ability are welcome.
High school students can receive volunteer hours toward their diplomas. Several
of our players can benefit from strong, athletic, and/or experienced
volunteers. Please note that due to the medical needs and sensitivities, we do
not play in the rain. Please spread the word! (KW June 23)
Race Day Event Volunteers Needed (Sunday,
August 28, 2016) The WCWFE will be hosting a 2.6k and 5.2k run
through in the trails behind the Nepean Sportsplex to raise awareness for the
work the organization does. Approximately 30-50 Volunteers will be needed
throughout the day on Sunday, August 28th
from 7am to 2pm as follows: (KW August 28)
- Set-up (7-9am)
- Assistance during the actual event (9am-12pm)
- Clean-up of the event (12-2pm)

I am looking for volunteer students for my summer arts camp called
Aspiring Artists Summer Camp. This is a fun opportunity right here at Mother

LF 60 Volunteers! HOPE Volleyball, July 16th, 2016, Mooney's Bay, all
day.
Shifts are: 7am to 11am; 10:30am to
2:30pm, 2pm to 6pm. All volunteers are required to attend an
orientation on July 13th, will
receive a HOPE shirt, will be given BCA (Breast Cancer Action) cap and goody
bag, a draw for prizes and an invitation to a HOPE volunteer thank you party

Canada Day is only 6 weeks away, and we are once again looking for
volunteers - including students lookingfor volunteer hours. Details are on

St. Brigid's Summer camp is in need of male counsellors ages 16- 18 and
leaders in training ages 14- 16 for the month of July. The paid counselor
position would be from July 4- July 29, 2016 (Mon- Fri). The
volunteer leader in training program is a two week program where students
can improve their leadership skills and get community service hours, the
session dates for the male leader in training program are July 4 to 15,
2016 for the first session and July 18 to 29, 2016 for the
second session.
Odyssey Theatre offers a summer apprenticeship
program that combines learning, fun and a little income for teens with an
interest in the arts. Youths receive training in mask and Commedia, placements
and mentorship in a professional environment. The program offers up to 10 young
people between the ages of 14–21 apprenticeships with a professional theatre
company that allows them to explore and expand their artistic interests,
develop their skills and prepare for a possible career in the arts. Visit their
