Auditions for Mother
Teresa High School's musical production of "Sister Act" begin on Monday, May 16th.
All auditions will be held in the Dance studio and are open to students
presently in grades 8 to 11. No prepared material is required but be
ready to do some group singing and movement. Be sure to check out
"Sister Act" on youtube to get an idea of what the show is
about. Sign-up sheets are on the stage door. (RL May 16)
A reminder to parents to please not do any
pick-ups (or have cars) in the traffic circle between 2:45-3:05pm. We

Commons Seminar Room - When not booked by a
class, The Learning Commons Seminar Room will be a designated quiet study
space.
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Any student interested in being a part of the crew for the 7/8 production of "Diary of a Wallflower" is asked to attend a meeting during 7/8 lunch TODAY on the stage. We are looking for students who are interested in painting sets, designing promotional material, and would like to work backstage during the show. Please see Ms. Laviolette (in Room 135) or Ms. DePippo if you have any questions. (LL May 12)
The Grade 7/8 Girls Touch Football Team will be practicing
after school from 3-4 on Wednesday May 11th, 2016 and Thursday May 12th,

WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including
information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers,
Graduation, Scholarships, etc.
There will be an OSAP presentation in the
multi-purpose room (Room 131) on Monday, May 16th at 11:30. Come learn about OSAP and how to apply for

Aspiring Teenage Artists! Continuing Ed Creative Arts Studio
Summer Program for 12-16 year olds. It's happening at Mother Teresa High

Summer School Registration: The summer registration forms are now available in Student Services and
must be signed by your counsellor. Classes run from July 6th to July 28th,
2016. ELearning classes start from July 4th to July 28th. Coop
and the Driver's Education program are also available in Summer
School.
Students cannot
register in a Make-Up course to upgrade a passing mark. Catholic School
Board registration: ongoing until June 29th. Public
Board registration deadlines: Reach Ahead registration dates are
from May 2nd to June 10th. Make Up registration dates are
from May 2nd to June 29th.
eLearning
registration dates are from April 4th to June 10th. (JH June 30)
Registration
forms for summer school for the Ottawa Catholic School Board are now available
in Student Services. Classes will run from July 4 to July 25.
Forms must be approved by your guidance counsellor. Forms without this
approval will not be accepted. Pre-register for this program by June
28, 2016. (KW June 28)
The
Nepean Eagles Football Club is looking for cheerleading coaches to teach
cheers and half-time dance routines to Junior (7-12) and Senior (13-16)
squads. Spring Camp is taking place on May 24, 25, and 26 followed
by regular season in mid-July until early November. Cheerleaders practise
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bob Stephen Park (Barrhaven). For more information

Summer Job and
Volunteer Opportunities for students at Waupoos Family Farm.
Come see information
sheet in Student Services for job descriptions. Summer volunteer
opportunities include assisting with programming,
cottage clean-up, laundry, animal care, gardening, weeding, painting, crafts,
outdoor games, etc. Mondays to Saturdays available. Summer volunteers are
encouraged to participate one day per week, for 6 to 8 weeks. Interview
and police check required. Must be a minimum of 14 years to apply as a

Graduation Guest tickets. Each Graduate receives 2
tickets for their guests. You can request extra guest tickets through your
my.mths.ca
account. There are no guarantees you will receive the number you request -
check in Student Services the first week of June to confirm the exact number of
tickets you will receive.
Scholarships
and Bursaries – Graduates. The Stittsville District Lions Club is awarding scholarships/bursaries
to five first year college or university youth. The scholarship is worth
$1000.
