Ski Club Refunds: All online refunds were done as of Friday, March 7th and should be in accounts by this week. People who paid by cash or cheque can expect their cheques to be ready in main office for pick-up by Monday, March 21st.  Please remind your child to pick-up cheques!
A reminder to parents to please not do any pick-ups (or have cars) in the traffic circle between 2:45-3:05pm. We appreciate your understanding to this matter. (MC)

Marine Biology Excursion September 13-19, 2016: Current grade 10 and 11 students interested in travelling to St. Andrew's, New Brunswick in September, 2016 for a marine biology excursion, please see Ms. D'Angela following announcements today.  The excursion takes place from September 13th-19th. All students who are going on the New York City trip are asked to attend a MANDATORY meeting in Room 136 at the start of lunch (11:30AM) on Wednesday, May 4th 2016 - final important information will be discussed. (MR May 4)

Belize Trip 2017!  Attention all MT Adventurers!  There is a meeting Wednesday, May 11th at 11:30 in room 117 for all students interested in the Belize trip next year.  This is a highly adventurous trip and is for grade 12's only.  If you would enjoy exploring rainforests, unique cave and river systems, sleeping in beautiful huts on the beach, snorkelling along a spectacular coral reef, sea kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding, this trip is for you!  Please see Mrs. Ragaisis if you have any questions. Big Brothers Big Sisters is having a Clothing Drive at Mother Teresa this Sunday, May 1st from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (KZ May 1)

Aspiring Teenage Artists!  Continuing Ed Creative Arts Studio Summer Program for 12-16 year olds.  It's happening at Mother Teresa High School from July 18 - 22. Register now online at:  conted.ocsb.ca  See poster in Student Services. (KW July 22)

Summer School Registration: The summer registration forms are now available in Student Services and must be signed by your counsellor. Classes run from July 6th to July 28th, 2016.  ELearning classes start from July 4th to July 28th. Coop and the Driver's Education program are also available in Summer School.
Students cannot register in a Make-Up course to upgrade a passing mark. Catholic School Board registration: ongoing until June 29th. Public Board registration deadlines: Reach Ahead registration dates are from May 2nd to June 10th.  Make Up registration dates are from May 2nd to June 29th.
eLearning registration dates are from April 4th to June 10th. (JH June 30)

Registration forms for summer school for the Ottawa Catholic School Board are now available in Student Services.  Classes will run from July 4 to July 25.  Forms must be approved by your guidance counsellor.  Forms without this approval will not be accepted.  Pre-register for this program by June 28, 2016. The Milk Bags for Haiti Club is in need of milk bags to continue weaving the bags into sleeping and sitting mats. Please have your children drop off your dry, clean milk bags to Student Services between the hours of 8:00am - 3:30pm. Thank you. (KW May 1)

The Nepean Eagles Football Club is looking for cheerleading coaches to teach cheers and half-time dance routines to Junior (7-12) and Senior (13-16) squads.  Spring Camp is taking place on May 24, 25, and 26 followed by regular season in mid-July until early November.  Cheerleaders practise Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bob Stephen Park (Barrhaven). April is National Poetry Month and there will be a poetry display in the Learning Commons. We’d like you to be part of the display. Simply drop off a copy of your poem in the Learning Commons and please stop by if you have any questions. (MP April 30)

Shakespeare 400: As most of you know, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth and death is April 23.  The English Department has BIG plans for April and May.  To kick things off, we invite students to participate in the following activities:
1)  Mural Design submission:  
  • Choose a space in the first floor English/Resource wing
  • Measure the space
  • Provide a detailed ORIGINAL coloured drawing of your mural with a Shakespearean theme.
  • Due:  April 29, 2016 to Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138
2)  Spoken Word Showcase:
  • Write a 1-2 minute spoken word poem on a current theme of interest to high school students (appropriate language, please)
  • Perform the spoken word poem for a small audience
  • Perform the poem again during Education Week (May 6)
Due for first performance:  April 29 with Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138 after school. Please drop by Rm 138 if you have questions or need suggestions! (JS April 29)
