SKI CLUB REFUNDS: All online refunds were done as of
Friday, March 7th and should be in accounts by this week. People who
paid by cash or cheque can expect their cheques to be ready in main office for
pick-up by Monday, March 21st. Please remind your child to pick-up
cheques!
A reminder to parents to please not do
any pick-ups (or have cars) in the traffic circle between 2:45-3:05pm. We
appreciate your understanding to this matter. (MC)
A reminder that the visitor parking
spaces at the front of the building are for those visiting our school, they are
not intended for students or staff. (MK March 30)

Commons Seminar Room - When not booked by a
class, The Learning Commons Seminar Room will be a designated quiet study

7&8 Swim Team Try-outs - Those
interested in joining the 7&8 swim team are asked to sign up on a
list outside Mlle Pendergest's room (234). Try-outs will be on held
on April 12th from 3:15-4:15pm at
Minto Recreation Complex (3500 Cambrian Rd). Attendance is mandatory at
the try-out to be considered for the team. (CP & BL April 12)

OSSLT: To prepare to write the Ontario Secondary School
Literacy test, you are invited to the Learning Commons period 2 next Tuesday March 29th and
Wed. March 30th.
Please report to your period 2 class first before you go to the Learning

School Badminton practices are scheduled as follows. March 24th,
29th, 31st, and April 5th - 7:30-8:30 in the wood floor gym. (RB April 5)
High School Field Lacrosse - tryouts/practices will begin
on Wednesday, March 28th, after school (3:00 pm) in the Cafe
gym. Interested players must attend or see Mr. Liska in advance.

Summer
Job and Volunteer Opportunities for
students at Waupoos Family Farm.
Come see information sheet in
Student Services for job descriptions. Summer volunteer opportunities include assisting
with programming, cottage clean-up, laundry, animal care, gardening, weeding,
painting, crafts, outdoor games, etc. Mondays to Saturdays available.
Summer volunteers are encouraged to participate one day per week, for 6 to 8
weeks. Interview and police check required. Must be a minimum of 14 years

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Daffodil Gala which is a charity event taking
place at the Ottawa St. Anthony’s Soccer Italia Soccer Club (523 St. Anthony
Street) in support of the Canadian Cancer Society is looking for student
volunteers to support the committee on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Further

note that we will require confirmation by noon March 23rdfor those who
are interested and available to commit their time. You will need
to attend a brief (1.5 hours) orientation session on Friday, April
8th, 2016 at the Ottawa St. Anthony’s Soccer Italia Soccer Club. You need
to arrive at 4:00pm on Saturday, April 9th and
volunteer through to midnight. Dress is semi-formal/business casual -
white shirt with dark pants or skirt (no tights please). A meal will be
provided for all volunteers. For a full list of activities and requirements,

LF Voluneteers for Run for Reach: We are pleased to invite
your school to participate in the 31st annual Run for Reach, taking place on Sunday
April 10, 2016 at City Hall. We would like to offer your students a unique
and exciting opportunity to obtain their volunteer credits for their high
school diploma. Volunteer positions include Set Up / Tear Down, Information
Booth, On Route – barricades & water and more. Bands, duos and trios are
also invited to play music for the participants and spectators along the Rideau
Canal. By volunteering on race day, students will have the chance to win a
great prize in our Volunteer Appreciation Raffle. Additionally, we would be
delighted to have your students and staff members join in the 5 km Team

LF Volunteers for CN Cycle for
CHEO: On
Sunday, May 1, 2016 we are holding our annual CN Cycle for CHEO, the
hospital’s largest pediatric cancer fundraising event which last year raised
over $942,000 for CHEO. Funds raised are
used to support lifesaving cancer research and treatment at CHEO. This fun, non-competitive event offers a wide
range of cycling (15K, 35K, 70K) and walking (2K, 5K) routes for people of all
ages and abilities. In order to make
this a safe and enjoyable event, we need many volunteers especially Route
Assistants! Please log on to

Important Information Regarding Prom
2016: Prom tickets are $85 each. Now available for
purchase online or will be on sale, in the atrium, from March 28-April 1 during high
school lunch. Students may pay for their prom tickets (and guest) only after
they have visited my.mths.ca and registered for tickets and
input the required information. Students will not be given their tickets until
their account with the school is cleared, their community service hours have
been documented and they have returned their signed prom agreement. Tickets
will be given out, in the atrium, approximately 1 week before prom. (KZ April 1)
