Update to Allerject
Voluntary Recall Replacement Procedures: Important Allerject Information: Following the October 28, 2015
voluntary recall by Sanofi Canada of all lots of Allerject epinephrine
auto-injectors and the announcement earlier this month that the stock of
alternative epinephrine auto-injectors is now sufficient to replace all
Allerject devices in Canada, we remind you of the following:
- Immediately
return all Allerject devices to your local pharmacy.
- All
Allerject epinephrine auto-injectors returned by patients to their
pharmacist with an expiry date between October 2015 and December 2016
inclusively continue to be eligible for replacement at no cost to the
patient.
- Please provide the school with a replacement (if you haven’t already

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please dress
warmly everyday for outside recess. Unless told otherwise,
everyone will be outside for the last 20 minutes of lunch. (MR Feb. 1)
Students wishing to represent MT at the 2016 Math Olympics are asked to bring their lunch to room 237 on Friday, January 15th, Tuesday, January 19th, and Thursday January 21st.

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention Grade 10 Students or students who will be writing the OSSLT
this March:
Mother Teresa High School wishes to inform you of the opportunity for
your child to participate in an after school literacy development course. This
course is of special interest to students who want to access additional
literacy instruction to maximize their success as they prepare for the Gr. 10
EQAO Literacy test. The test will be written on Thursday March 31st,
2016. The purpose of the class will focus on gaining confidence in
critical literacy in a developmental and interactive learning environment.
The course will be offered Tuesday and Thursday after school for 6 weeks from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 and ending Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016. Students would benefit most by attending every session. It will be held from 3:00-4:30 each Tuesday and Thursday. Please contact Mrs. Brady(room 201) or Mr. O'Connor for a permission form. Writing
Contest -
Calling all poets and short story writers! Carleton University's English
Department is sponsoring a poetry and short fiction competition. This
year's theme is "Encounters with Technology". First and second
place finishers will have their work published. As well, winners will
receive cash prizes. Register online. Due date: February 19. (JS

FAIR 2016- By Volunteer Ottawa: Participate in our interactive Virtual Volunteer
Fair 2016 and explore local youth volunteer opportunities that fit your
interests.
Who can join? Open to all local high school
students
What to expect? Interact with numerous local
organizations who are looking to recruit youth volunteers! Each virtual booth
will provide a brief overview video of the organization, discuss the volunteer
opportunities it has to offer, connect to the organization’s social media, and
even allow students to chat LIVE with a representative from the organization.
Participating
organizations: 12 local not-for-profit organizations, including: AIDS Committee of
Ottawa, Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes
Association, Capital Velo Fest Inc., Carlingview Manor, CNIB, DeafBlind Ontario
Services, LiveWorkPlay, Meals on Wheels Ottawa, Ottawa Power Wheelchair Hockey
League, and St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa,.
Why: This online fair is a great way to
link participants with organizations that can help them build a resume with
valuable experience, fulfill hours to give back to the community, and connect
with organizations that interest them.

at University of Ottawa. January 21st,2016 from 7-9pm, Department of Visual
Arts 100 Laurier east (room 114).Applicants are encouraged to bring a selection
of their best work (6-8 works) and their sketchbook for personal feedback and
advice about how to prepare the portfolio. Professors and masters students will
share tips on photographing work and preparing it for digital uploading. They
