HALLOWEEN SPIRIT WEEK: Halloween is just around the corner, and MT is celebrating with tons of Spooktacular Spirit Days and activities.
Monday: Retro Day; dress in retro-styled clothing.
Tuesday: Super Hero Day; Dress up as your favourite super hero.
Wednesday: Sports Day; Dress up in sportswear/jerseys of your favourite sports team.
Thursday: Halloween and the first annual Titan Trek; Dress up in Halloween costumes, no faces covered.(no masks)
Friday: Comfy Day; Dress up in casual/comfy attire.

REMEMBRANCE DAY INVITATIONS: Any student who has a parent/relative or family friend who is a past or present member of the Canadian Armed Forces, police, fire fighter, first responder, etc. is asked to come to the office to pick up an invitation to invite this individual to our Remembrance Day Service on Monday November 11th. They are asked to arrive in their uniform and they will be seated at the front of the gymnasium to view the Service. (JK Nov 6)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMERS: There will be a very important meeting for all those interested in joining the high school swim team on Wednesday November 6th in room 205 at the start of lunch. Our first practice is scheduled for Monday November 11 from 7:15-8:15am at Walter Baker Pool. If you cannot attend the meeting please see Mrs. Sinclair asap. (JS Nov 6)
ATTENTION GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY PLAYERS: Please return your uniform to Ms. Pendergest after Titan Trek October 31st. Also, please note all Tier 1 medals must be returned so that the appropriate Tier 2 medals can be distributed to the team. Please return your medal to Ms. Pendergest as soon as possible. (CP Nov 8)
HAIR TO WEAR: Any grade 10 or 11 student interested in growing and then donating their hair for wigs for cancer patients, please attend an information meeting on Monday Nov 4 in room 202 or speak to Ms. Soprovich. Other staff members welcome to join this endevour. (SS Nov 4)

THE CANSKATE PROGRAM IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: The program is run at the Walter Baker Centre with opportunities on Saturday mornings,Sunday afternoons,and Tuesday & Thursday evenings. CANADIAN GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND: will host a gift wrapping station at Rideau Centre, 50 Rideau Street, during all mall hours in the month of December. We are seeking students to fill two or four hour shifts on any given day. The volunteer duty involves dealing with the public and wrapping gifts. There will be adult supervision at all times by a representative of our organization. I can be contacted directly by telephone or email by any students wishing to volunteer.

Senior High School students who maintain an average of 80% and who are fluent in English and French are invited to apply to the House of Commons Page Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. More information is available on the Parliament of Canada Web site. Applications must be submitted online at www.parl.gc.ca/hocpage. Deadline for applications this year is Monday, December 9, 2013. Algonquin College Open House: Any grade 12 student interested in attending the Algonquin College Open House on Thursday November 7th(9 AM - 1 PM), please pick up a permission form in Student Services.
