clip_image008PIZZA: Pizza will be sold Tuesday and Thursday after school.  $2.00 a slice, supporting this year’s Prom. (NR –Mar 9)

 

 

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS clip_image010

INTERMEDIATE STUDENT COUNCIL will meet on Monday, March 5 at the beginning of 7/8 LUNCH! Please bring your markers/colouring pencils to room 235. (TC –Mar 5)

TCHOUKBALL INTRAMURALS: Any grade 7/8 students interested in competing in Tchoukball intramurals, please come sign-up during lunch Monday and Tuesday. Each team will need 8 participants and there is a $1 fee to enter your team. (CN –Mar 6)

clip_image012DANCE CLUB DATE CHANGE: URGENT: Grade 7/8 Dance Club will not be taking place this Monday March 5, however will be held on Tuesday March 6th as per usual! It will run from 3pm-4pm!  Please note this change and notify your parents! (CD –Mar 6)

 

STRATFORD TRIP: Students in grade 8 who are interested in going to Stratford next fall are asked to see Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138 either before or after school on Tuesday, March 6. (JS –Mar 6)

 

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

clip_image014MOTHER TERESA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: There will be an important meeting on Monday, March 5 at 11:35 in room 119 for all students interested in playing football for the upcoming season. (AC –Mar 5)

HS REACH FOR THE TOP: The game between Jai Ho and The Pierre Bouchard Experience has been postponed until Thursday. (JS –Mar 8)

clip_image016STRATFORD 2012:  If any students in grades 8-11 are interested in going on a trip to Stratford, Ontario in the fall of 2012, please see Mrs. Simpson on Tuesday, March 6 in Rm 138 at lunch.  Students in grade 8 can see Mrs. Simpson after school.  Plays have not been chosen yet, so get in on the decision-making process! (JS –Mar 6)

clip_image018VARSITY GIRLS FUTSAL: Members of the Mother Teresa Varsity Girls Futsal Team are reminded of the following practice dates... March 6th & 20th.  Please be dressed and ready to practice from 3-4:30pm in the wood floor gym.  If you are unable to attend or have any questions, please see Ms. McSwiggan.  EVERYONE is reminded to bring in a $25 cheque made payable to Mother Teresa High School.  (SM –Mar 20)

clip_image024OPTION SHEETS: A reminder to students that option sheets are due on Thursday, March 8th.  Please return your signed option sheet to your homeroom teacher. Students who have a spare Period 1 and students who have morning co-op placements are asked to return their option sheet to Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services. (KW –Mar 8)

clip_image028GRADUATING STUDENTS – POLICIES AND DEADLINES:  In the past, it has been the practice of some graduating students to leave their Community Service Hours to the last month of school, thereby jeopardizing their graduation in June.  As a result, the following policies are now in place at Mother Teresa: 

·          PROM: All graduating students must have completed their 40 hours of community service if they intend to attend their graduation dance.  The earlier the better! Hours must be submitted to Student Services by Friday May 11th, 2012.

  • GRADUATION: In order to attend the Graduation Ceremony, students must have the 40 hours of community service completed by Friday June 11, 2012.

Forms are available in Student Services, the main office, or on the Mother Teresa website. (SD –Feb 10)

clip_image030GRADE 12'S: BOARD-WIDE SCHOLARSHIPS: Each year at the MT Graduation scholarships are awarded based on criteria set out by the school board. An application is required for these scholarships. For more information and the applications, please attend an information session at 11:30 on Wed March 21 in the Library (TLC). (JH –Mar 21)
