clip_image012VARSITY GIRLS FUTSAL: Members of the Mother Teresa Varsity Girls Futsal Team are reminded of the following practice dates... March 6th & 20th.  Please be dressed and ready to practice from 3-4:30pm in the wood floor gym.  If you are unable to attend or have any questions, please see Ms. McSwiggan.  EVERYONE is reminded to bring in a $25 cheque made payable to Mother Teresa High School.  (SM –Mar 20)

clip_image016OTTAWA POLICE LOOKING FOR YOUTH TO JOIN YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE: Ottawa Police Service is launching a Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and is now accepting applications.  Until March 23, 2012, young people under 24 can apply online at ottawapolice.ca/yac. YAC will bring a youth voice to policing and give youth a chance to share ideas and work with police on decisions and projects that matter to Ottawa youth.  YAC members will also meet new friends, build skills and resumes, and be provided with food, bus tickets and other perks. clip_image018BADMINTON TRY OUTS: High School Badminton tryouts will begin the week after the March Break.
The dates are:
Junior:  Monday, March 19, Friday, March 22, Tuesday, March 27, Wednesday, March 28
        Senior: Thursday, March 22, Tuesday, March 27, Wednesday, March 28

clip_image022GRADUATING STUDENTS – POLICIES AND DEADLINES:  In the past, it has been the practice of some graduating students to leave their Community Service Hours to the last month of school, thereby jeopardizing their graduation in June.  As a result, the following policies are now in place at Mother Teresa: 
·          PROM: All graduating students must have completed their 40 hours of community service if they intend to attend their graduation dance.  The earlier the better! Hours must be submitted to Student Services by Friday May 11th, 2012.
  • GRADUATION: In order to attend the Graduation Ceremony, students must have the 40 hours of community service completed by Friday June 11, 2012.
Forms are available in Student Services, the main office, or on the Mother Teresa website. (SD –Mar 9)
clip_image024GRADE 12'S: BOARD-WIDE SCHOLARSHIPS: Each year at the MT Graduation scholarships are awarded based on criteria set out by the school board. An application is required for these scholarships. For more information and the applications, please attend an information session at 11:30 on Wed March 21 in the Library (TLC). (JH –Mar 21)

Prom Tickets will be sold during lunch on April 11, 12, and 13.  Tickets are $75.  Cash or cheque will be accepted.  Please make cheques payable to Mother Teresa High School.  Please plan your tables in advance and purchase your tickets at the same time as the others at your table in order to secure your seats together.
