Feb 15- Heart Day- wear a heart t-shirt day. Thurs. Feb 16- Love your Team Day- wear a favourite team Jersey OR Titan wear day Friday, Feb 17- PJ Day. (TC –Feb 17)
FIRST EVER MOTHER TERESA CAKE WALK: Please start collecting money in your homeroom classes so that your homeroom can participate in our first ever Cake Walk, taking place on Tuesday, February 21st. Each homeroom must contribute a homemade or store-bought cake in order to participate. The more creative the cake, the better. The last morning to bring in your cash for cake is Tuesday, February 21st. All proceeds will be shared between the Christmas Outreach Project and the St. Patrick's Day Outreach Project at the Longfields Manor. Mmmmmm....Got cash? Get cake. (KL –Feb 21)
PIZZA: Pizza will be sold Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. $2.00 a slice, supporting this year’s Prom. (NR –Mar 9)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS 
REMINDER TO GRADE 7/8 STUDENTS: All grade 7 & 8 students are reminded that they are expected to remain seated in the cafeteria at lunch, until it is time to go outside. Your co-operation is appreciated. (MC – Feb 17)
7/8 GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM TRY-OUTS: The first try-out for the Grade 7 & 8 girls basketball team will be Wednesday, February 22 From 3:10- 4:30. Please make sure to inform your parents if you are staying for the try-out. We will be in the wood Floor gym. (MEA –Feb 22)

ALL GRADE 10 AND 11 STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE ST. ANDREW BIOLOGY TRIP NEXT FALL: Please meet with Ms. Soprovich this Friday February 17th in room 202 at 11:30, to discuss planning for the trip. If you cannot make the meeting, please see Ms. Soprovich in room 202 before school. (SS –Feb 17)
HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIVE REACH FOR THE TOP TEAM: The practice round on Thursday has been cancelled. There will be a practice Friday Feb. 17th in room 307 at lunch. Attendance is mandatory. (JS –Feb 17)
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC COUNCIL: There will be a meeting for the High school Athletic Council on Friday, Feb. 17 at 11:30 in the Career Center. Please bring your lunch as it will be a working meeting. We are still looking for new members to sit on this council, so all High school students interested are ask to attend this meeting. (MEA –Feb 17)
B.U. GIRLS MEETING: B.U. Girls are meeting on Wednesday in the Chapel at lunch. Last Call! (MD –Feb 22)
HIGH SCHOOL INTRAMURALS: The next intramural activity will be Indoor Soccer. Divisions will be set for both Male and Female teams. Sign-up sheets and rules are available on the bulletin board outside the wood floor gym. Team sheets are to be returned to Mr. Liska by Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. (JL –Feb 22)
VARSITY GIRLS FUTSAL: Members of the Mother Teresa Varsity Girls Futsal Team are reminded of the following practice dates... February 16th, 23rd, 29th, March 7th & 20th. Please be dressed and ready to practice from 3-4:30pm in the wood floor gym. If you are unable to attend or have any questions, please see Ms. McSwiggan. STUDENT SERVICES 
CAMP LAU-REN: A children's residential summer camp located on the shores of the Ottawa River, 10km west of Deep River is currently looking for applicants for employment for the summer of 2012. Positions to be filled include head cook, assistant cook, counsellor, caretaker, and waterfront staff. Application forms for 2012 are available at www.lau-ren.com See more info in Student Services. IT'S HERE! DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM REGISTRATION FORM! Visit your Student Services Office for registration forms. Registration runs from January 16th - February 17th. In-class lessons will be Wednesdays at Mother Teresa High School for 8 weeks starting February 29th from 3:15pm - 6:00pm. Students must bring a copy (front and back) of their G1 to the first calss, plus a copy of the MTO Driver's Handbook. This Driver's Ed program combines in-class, at-home and in-car instruction. Successful completion of this program allows a reduction of the G1 license driving period and a possible insurance discount (check with your insurance company). (KW –Feb 17)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: The Volunteer Resources Department at the Queensway Carleton Hospital is looking for students to join their 2012 summer program which runs July and August. Get your community service hours! Students are required to attend a Volunteer Information Session to obtain an application package and learn about the program. If the student is interested in applying they will receive an application package which must be completed and submitted to the Volunteer Resources Office no later than April 30, 2012. Students need to be 15 years of age by December 31st 2012 and have completed grade 9 by this summer. Information Session Dates are: January 31st @ 6pm, February 17th @ 6pm, February 21st @ 6pm, March 6th @ 6pm, March 13th @ 2pm, March 15th @ 2pm and March 19th @ 6pm. STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL: Hey titans! Are you looking to share your voice and opinions about Ontario's education? Then you should consider applying for the Ministry Student Advisory Council! The deadline for applications is on February 29th, 2012. This is a great opportunity to be the voice of Ontario students. THE POWER OF MOVEMENT 2012: Canada's largest yoga fundraiser in support of Arthritis Research, is looking for volunteers and/or teams to participate in an event which takes place Sunday March 4. For more information how to get involved see Mr. Hallarn in Student Services. (JH –Mar 2)

LAST CHANCE FOR GRAD PHOTOS. Grad Retake Day is Friday, February 17th. Edge Imaging has opened the site for you to book your appointment on-line at www.bookmygrad.com. School code is: MTH. If you are booking for a retake photo, please bring original proofs with you on February 17th. Students who have not yet had their photos taken can also book an appointment on-line. (KW –Feb 16)
GRADUATION INFO: The MT Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2012 will be held at Mother Teresa on Thursday June 28 at 1:00 pm. Each student will be given 2 tickets for guests. Students will be able to request extra tickets starting in May and will be informed whether they will get extra tickets, in early June. (JH –Feb 17)
GRADE 12'S & NIGHT SCHOOL: If you are taking a night school course, you must sign the list in Student Services indicating the course you are taking. We will then update OUAC or OCAS with the course info. Do not assume because you spoke to your counselor that you do not need to sign the list! (JH –Feb 24)
JEANS DAY: A reminder that Friday February 17th is Jeans Day. This week our contributions will go toward OECTA’s charity. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. (SD –Feb 17)
