JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR – TICKETS NOW ON SALE! Tickets are now on sale for the Mother Teresa production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This is our largest production to date with a cast and crew of over 150 students. The cost is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students and seniors. Tickets will be sold during both Junior and Senior lunches, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Bruce House to assist those inflicted with HIV and AIDS. Performances take place Dec 15 -17, Thur/Fri/Sat @ 7pm, and Sat @ 2pm. Doors open 15 minutes before show time. (RL –Dec 9)
LAST CHANCE FOR YEARBOOKS! Most of the yearbooks have already been sold but there is still an opportunity to purchase again over the next two weeks. The order forms are in the office in a tray marked Yearbooks. You need to pick up an order form and then return it with cash or cheque for $40. The order forms are available now and the deadline is 16th December 2011. (AP –Dec 16)

STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING: The Student Council meeting will take place in Room 235 at the beginning of 7/8 lunch, today! Bring your great ideas for the Christmas dance! (TC –Dec 5)
ATTENTION 7/8 INTRAMURAL DODGEBALLERS: Teams must check the playoff schedule that is posted in the caf, across from the drink machines. Playoff games start today at lunch. Failure to show, results in elimination from the playoffs. (MM –Dec 5)
7/8 REACH FOR THE TOP: Reach For The Top takes place on Thursday, December 8 at the beginning of 7/8 lunch in room 235. (TC –Dec 8)
HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
LOOKING FOR EXTRAS! The ACT foundation is looking for "extras" for their video shooting of CPR training here at MT next Wednesday, December 7th, after school from 3:00-4:30. No acting experience necessary. This video will be used to train grade 9 Phys. Ed students in high schools across the province. If you are interested please see Ms Lawlor after school in the Phys. Ed office beside the weight room to sign up. (DL –Dec 5)
STUDENT SERVICES 
SHAD VALLEY APPLICATIONS: Shad Valley is a unique motivational experience which will not only expose you to a multitude of ideas and career possibilities and challenge you with hands-on workshops and group projects, but will introduce you to 50 other bright, inquisitive young people just like yourself. This experience takes place during the month of July at a university across Canada. First round of applications are due Dec 7. Visit www.shad.ca for more information. (JH –Dec 7)

JOSTEN’S RINGS ARE BACK! Jostens Rings will be at Mother Teresa High School, in the atrium, during senior lunch hour, on December 5th and December 6th. Come check out the catalogs in Student Services. You can also visit their website and design your own ring at jostens.com. Remember that a deposit of $60.00 is required for your order. (KW –Dec 6)
UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA INFORMATION EVENING: University of Ottawa is hosting an Evening Fair for future students and their parents on Thurs Dec 8th. Presentations will focus on the admissions process, important deadlines, and ways to increase scholarship and bursary potential. In addition, faculty representatives will be on hand during the fair to answer questions. For more info and to register visit www.uOttawa.ca/admission. (JH -Dec 8)
GRADUATING STUDENTS – POLICIES AND DEADLINES: In the past, it has been the practice of some graduating students to leave their Community Service Hours to the last month of school, thereby jeopardizing their graduation in June. As a result, the following policies are now in place at Mother Teresa:
· PROM: All graduating students must have completed their 40 hours of community service if they intend to attend their graduation dance. The earlier the better! Hours must be submitted to Student Services by Friday May 11th, 2012.
- GRADUATION: In order to attend the Graduation Ceremony, students must have the 40 hours of community service completed by Friday June 11, 2012.
Forms are available in Student Services, the main office, or on the Mother Teresa website. (SD –Dec 9)
GRADUATION INFO: The MT Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2012 will be held at Mother Teresa on Thursday June 28 at 1:00 pm. Each student will be given 2 tickets for guests. Students will be able to request extra tickets starting in May and will be informed whether they will get extra tickets, in early June. (JH –Dec 16)

A MESSAGE FROM FR. JESSI: Dear Parishioners, Good day and December is already here! Many of us will be extremely busy during this month ~ visiting families, attending Christmas parties, shopping, working over-time at work before the New Year begins, etc. It is important to step back and spend time to rest, to pray and to be in a prayerful mood during this Advent Season in preparation for the celebration of our Lord Jesus' Birth. Please check the Parish website (see the link above) for the Parish Schedule for this month. It includes the schedule for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confessions) in our parish and our neighboring parishes that offer Confessions during Advent. I encourage you to avail on this wonderful sacrament in preparation for Christmas and the New Year. May the Lord Jesus Christ always bless your heart with peace and true joy during this Advent Season and on Christmas and the New Year 2012. + Father Jessi. (FJT –Dec 9)
