YOUTH EVENTS: “Under the Son” Youth Rally, takes place at St. Monica’s Parish, on June 25^th, AND “Journey to the Father” Youth Conference July 15^th to 17^th in St. Raphaels, Ontario. Students have really enjoyed these programs in the past and registration is limited, so see Martha for details. (MD –Jun 10)

GRADE 7/8 CALYPSO YEAR-END TRIPS: Just a reminder that if you are interested in joining us on the Calypso year end trip, permission forms and payment are due to your homeroom teacher by this Friday, June 10th. HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATHLETIC BANQUET: The Annual Athletic Banquet will be held here at MT on Monday, June 13 at 6:30pm with Dinner and Awards for our high school athletes. Dinner: 6:30pm. Awards: 7:30pm. Tickets can be picked at the Tuck Shop from Mr. Liska during lunch and after school on Wednesday, Friday, and Monday only. All athletic fees and/or uniforms must be submitted to coaches before tickets will be received. (JL –Jun 13)

MANGA CLUB: We've worked hard all year watching Manga, so it's time for your reward! If you've been a steady member of the club, come on out to our potluck lunch on June 14 in Rm 138 at lunch. (JS –Jun 14)

LONDON, ENGLAND TRIP – IT’S NOT TOO LATE! (*updated) See Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138 for information regarding next March Break's trip to the incredible city of London, England. Come see the birthplace of such greats as William Shakespeare, Prince William and Mr. Pentlow! This trip is being organized for senior students. Pay attention to the announcements for dates/times of meetings. Reserve your spot by June 20 for as little as $195.00. If interested in more information, *please come to a Thursday (June 9^th) lunch meeting in Rm 138. Incredible incentives are being offered for early enrollment. We would be more than happy to provide a letter to the student(s) confirming the number of hours worked that they can use towards their graduation requirement. SUMMER CAMP FOR ABORIGINAL YOUTH: Dream Quest is a free camp July 3-8, 2011 for Aboriginal youth (ages 12-17) held at Algonquin College, Ottawa Ontario. You can take classes, sleep in residence and explore the college campus, just like a real college student! All meals and evening activities are included. See Student Services for more details. ADOBE YOUTH VOICES: Adobe Youth Voices is a new and exciting project brought to you by YOUCAN and TakingITGlobal to teach youth aged 13-18 video and photo editing skills and to encourage Youth to create multimedia projects about issues that are relevant to them. Youth are given 12-15 hours of editing training and given access to cameras and the lab at other times to finalize there creations and have the whole world hear what you(th) have to say. DRIVER’S EDUCATION: It's here! Driver’s Education for the summer. Locations for in class sessions are at All Saints HS, Sacred Heart HS, St. Joseph HS, St. Paul HS and St. Peter HS. Open to all students attending Ottawa region secondary schools. Must be at least 16 years of age and have a G1 license prior to July 4th, 2011. Registration runs from May 2^nd - June 17^th, 2011. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Attention all grads. Don't miss out on this opportunity. The Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship is an Ontario Government program that recognizes hard working students who earn top marks. Winners may receive a tuition scholarship worth up to a maximum of $3,500 per year. The minimum scholarship that you can receive is $100.
