WHOLE SCHOOL SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: The school office will be open all summer from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm every day, with the following exceptions:  All schools and the Board office will be closed on these 4 Fridays this summer:  Friday July 8th, and 22nd, August 5th and 19th.  Have a wonderful summer!

REPORT CARD PICK-UP:  Report cards will be available for pick-up in the main office, after Thursday July 7th.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER: The first day of school in the fall will be Tuesday, September 6th, 2011.    Schedules for the 2011 – 2012 school year, will be available on the first day of school.

clip_image002LOCKER CLEAN OUT! Students are reminded that LOCKERS are to be cleaned out and locks removed by Friday June 24th for high school and by Tuesday June 28th for 7 and 8.  If locks and contents are not removed by then, locks will be cut and contents donated to charity.  (JP –Jun 24)

clip_image004FREE GOODLIFE TEEN MEMBERSHIP THIS SUMMER: Youth aged 12 -17 can take advantage of a free fitness program at any Goodlife Fitness club starting July 2nd 2011 until August 31st.  The program is available 7 days a week between 8am to 4pm.  Information can be found at http://www.goodlifefitness.com/TeenFitness/Default.aspx. clip_image006LAST DAY FOR CAFETERIA SERVICE: The last day for cafeteria service is Friday June 24. **PLEASE NOTE** that although the cafeteria is open this week, the menu selection is extremely limited.  All staff and students are encouraged to bring a lunch. (CB –Jun 24)

Activities Co-ordinator Amy, is looking for some help.  Help is needed calling Bingo some nights, playing games and spending time with our seniors. clip_image015CHILDCARE NEEDED – $ PAID OPPORTUNITY: Mother seeking before and after school childcare for 2 children attending St. Luke's Elementary School. Hours of care: approximately, 7:30 am - 9:00 am and 3:40pm - 6:00 pm.  Start date would be September 2011 for the entire school year.  The girl is 10 years old and the boy is 6 years old.  Requirements: bilingual French and English, certified babysitting course, CPR.  PAY: Rate to be discussed. clip_image019ALGONQUIN SLICE ORIENTATION – NEW DATE: Algonquin College's Strategic Learning in the College Environment (SLICE) orientation has been changed to Friday, August 26, 2011.  Those students registering on-line for this event through Algonquin College, please make note of the change in date.
