WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
PIZZA! The MTSAID committee will be selling pizza after school in front of the tuck shop on Tuesday April 5th and Thursday April 7th. $2.00 a slice. Cheese and Pepperoni available. (MK –Apr 7)
SKI CLUB: Forms will be available in the main office for refunds for missed sessions. Forms will be available all week and due no later than Monday April 11th. (KN –Apr 11)
YOGA: The spring schedule for Yoga will run for 8 weeks from Monday, March 28th, 2011 until Monday, June 6th, 2011, from 3:05 – 4:05 pm. (There are no classes April 25th, May 2nd and May 23rd.) 7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
CHESS TEAM: All the Grade 7 and 8 students who are interested in playing for the chess team, are asked to please meet Mr. Major in room 204 Wednesday at the beginning of 7/8 lunch. (CN –Apr 7)
GIRLS 7/8 HOCKEY TEAM: All members of the girls 7/8 hockey team need to pick up a tournament schedule from the envelope outside room 340. (MP –Apr 8)
HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS: There will be a meeting at lunch, Tuesday, April 5th in room 102 for all students interested in joining the High School Art Club. The club will be responsible for putting together display cases, creating art work for liturgies, prom and graduation and for other projects required in the school. Please see Ms. Stuart if you have any questions. The group will meet each Wednesday after school on a drop in basis. (CS –Apr 5)

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: ALL grade 9 - 12 students who want to be a part of this year's Track and Field team MUST attend a mandatory practice this Thursday, April 7th 2011 - meet in the Atrium at 3:05 PM ready to run rain or shine. (MR –Apr 7)
YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE: Have you applied to attend the Youth Entrepreneurship Conference in April? (Congrats if you did - it's a FANTASTIC opportunity.) You must hand in your permission form in room 216 ASAP to secure your seat! (SM –Apr 8)

CAMP FFIT: Are you a young woman age 15 to 19? Are you looking for a challenging career? This summer the Ottawa Fire Service is offering the second annual week-long fire fighting day camp to young women who want to explore the career of fire fighting. If you are in good physical condition, have a positive attitude, want to make new friends and try something new every day, then this camp is for you! Camp FFIT 2011 is being held August 15th to 19th, 8:00 to 5:00 daily. Please go to http://www.ottawa.ca and enter camp ffit into the search. DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is being held on the weekend of June 17th-19th. Over 300 volunteers help to make the Festival a success in the following areas: pre-event and post-even set up, silent auction, main tent, docks and staging, team services, site safety/maintenance, children's area, media tent, VIP area, welcoming crew, alternates/floaters, stage/entertainment. IT’S ALMOST HERE!.... The Berrigan Elementary School BBQ..... Thursday, June 9th, 2011, 3pm to 8:30pm. They are looking for 25 volunteer students to assist in set up of activities, tables, chairs, displays, run carnival-type games, etc. The event runs rain or shine so be prepared for inclement weather (rain gear) and bring a snack/meal. LEAD. CHANGE. HELP. A Youth Leadership Opportunity. Volunteer Ottawa is looking for volunteers (aged 16-24) to be part of a Youth Leadership Team. The team will meet monthly. The purpose of the team is to increase youth interest, participation and commitment to volunteering. GRAD FEES DUE: Graduates are reminded to bring a $75 cheque made payable to "Mother Teresa High School" to room 132 by April 12th for your commencement fees. You will be measured for your gown at this time. (DM –Apr 12)

GRADUATION CEREMONY: The Grad Ceremony will be held Wednesday June 29th at 1:00pm at Mother Teresa HS. Each graduate will be given 2 tickets for their guests. Students that require more than 2 tickets must request the number of extra tickets by signing up in Student Services between Monday May 2nd and Friday May 6th. Signing up does not guarantee you will receive the number requested. Students should drop by Student Services the following week to find out how many extra tickets they will receive. (JH –May 6)
