7/8 STUDENTS NEW TO MOTHER TERESA: All grade 7&8 Students new to Mother Teresa HS, (this DOES NOT include our feeder school students from MBP, St Luke's or St Andrew’s as they had special visits throughout last year to MT) please come to Student Services on Monday or Tuesday to sign up with your Guidance Counsellor for a pizza lunch on Wednesday, Oct 6th to get more information about the school, get questions answered or meet some other new people. 7/8 BOYS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS: Sign-Up at PE offices. Dates: Wednesday October 5th & Thursday October 6th. Time: 3:00 PM - 4:15 PM. Coach: Mrs. Frias. (TF –Oct 6)

TI –NSPIRE CALCULATORS: Students with TI-Nspire handhelds are invited to update their operating systems during lunch in the Atrium Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. You can also get your new black Nspire engraved for security. (TS –Oct 6)
CASTING CALL FOR JERSEY SHORE: Well not exactly. .. but Mother Teresa is looking for comic actors, and actresses for this year’s high school play, Break a Leg!. All students in grades 9-12 who are interested in performing or technical production are welcome to attend the information meeting Wednesday, October 6th at lunch in room 102 (the art room). Please see Ms. Stuart if you have any questions. Auditions will take place the last week of October. (CS –Oct 6)
YOUTH MINISTRY ** NEW DATE**: Youth Ministry students are asked to gather for a lunch meeting on Wednesday October 6 at lunchtime in the chapel. Please see Ms. Dougherty (Martha) for details. All welcome to come and check it out! (MD –Oct 6)
HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM: All interested swimmers are asked to come to a MANDATORY meeting at 11:30 on Thursday Oct 7 in room 202. It is very important that you attend. If you are unable to attend please see Mrs. Sinclair as soon as possible. Practices begin next week. (JS –Oct 7)
BLOOD DONOR CLINIC AT SCOTIABANK PLACE ON OCTOBER 18TH: Please see Mrs McLaughlin in room 130 if you are interested in giving blood at this clinic sponsored by the Ottawa Senators. You must be a minimum of 17years old and a minimum of 50kg/110lbs. Participants will be shuttled to and from Scotiabank Place. (DM –Oct 15)

FRANCE-CANADA SUMMER EXCHANGE: For students 13 to 17 years old. Discover France, experience the French language and culture, live with a French family in July and host your exchange partner in August, make new friends and add an international dimension to your family life. Registration started September 1st 2010, but applications will be accepted until April 30th, 2011. Please see all the details in Student Services. (KW –Oct 6)
HOCKEY TOURNAMENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The NMHA is looking for student volunteers who need community service hours to help with a Hockey Tournament running over Thanksgiving weekend at Walter Baker Sports Centre, October 8th to 11th. FRENCH TUTOR NEEDED: Looking for a french tutor for a boy in Grade 3 attending Berrigan French Immersion Program. A great opportunity for grade 12 students to visit Carleton University, speak to Profs and to sit in classes of programs you may be considering. SCHOLARSHIPS: Graduating students! Don't forget to check out the Scholarships under Student Services found on the MTHS.ca website under departments. Scholarships are starting to come in and all information will be posted here. The Scholarships highlighted in blue have been update for this year and as other scholarships arrive at the school, they will be updated as well. (TC –Oct 7)
PROM COMMITTEE: The prom committee will be meeting on Thursday Oct 7th in room 202 at lunch. All grade 12's are welcome. We will be voting on this year’s theme and looking for co-chairs of the prom committee. If for some reason you can't make to the meeting please see Mrs. Zivkovic or Miss. Pipkins.
