GRADE 7/8 BOYS AND GIRLS TOUCH FOOTBALL: Any grade 7/8 boy or girl that signed up to try-outs for the touch football team should check the try-out schedule posted outside room 236. Please see Ms. Brownrigg if you are unable to attend a try-out.
RED MAPLE MEETING: The Red Maple Club meets on Wednesday, April 2. Guests have been invited so please try to arrive by 12:45.
LIBRARY NOTICE: The library will be closed to students all day TODAY.
ARSENIC AND OLD LACE: Tickets for this year's comedy play are on sale every day in the atrium during the first half of senior lunch. Ticket prices are $6.00 for students and seniors and $8.00 for adults. For the best seats in the house, get your tickets early. There will be three performances only--April 10th, 11th and 12th. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Bring your friends and family for a great evening of entertainment.
DRAMA: The backstage crew for makeup and hairstyling are reminded of the important meetings to finalize all character appearances on Thurs. Apr. 3 at 3:15 pm in Room 112. Also the Dress Rehearsal is on Sat. Apr. 5 from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon.
NEW YORK TRIP: Students attending the New York trip are reminded they must provide proof of proper ID (passport, birth certificate, driver's license, citizenship card etc.), as well as, proof of out-of-country insurance coverage. Please submit this information to Ms. Gervais by the latest TODAY.
URGENT REQUEST: Is there any student interested in attending the New York trip because we have room for one more student? Please see Ms.Gervais, Ms.Bell-Dagenais, Mr. Loy, Ms. Kuchma or Ms. Byrne ASAP if you are interested.
PROM COMMITTEE: The next prom committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, at lunch, in Room 135.
GRADUATE CAP & GOWN: Grads are reminded to go to room 130 to order their cap & gown for the June commencement ceremony. Please bring a cheque for $65.00 (made payable to Mother Teresa High School). The last day to order is April 24th.
FOCUS PROGRAMS FOR 08-09: Focus Programs are packages of courses, offered at the high school level, that concentrate on a particular field of interest or training. These Focus Programs have been created by a particular High School within our Board and are open to all students within the Board. There are currently 18 Focus Programs being offered in various high schools within our Board and they span all Grade levels, 9 through 12. A description of these programs can be found in the Course Selection Booklet that students received during the subject selection process (pages 80-97).
A separate application is required if you wish to apply to a Focus Program for next year. You must make an appointment with your Guidance Counselor, who will complete the application form with you. The deadline for applying to a Focus Program for the 2008-2009 school year is Wednesday, April 2.
