Day 2

Grade 7 & 8 Enrichment: Let's Talk Science: Grade 7 and 8 students interested in an enrichment activity Tuesday, June 13 please see Mrs. Brady or Mrs. McLaughlin in room 322 this week. We have 24 spots for budding ecologists. Come and explore the Jock River and its unique ecosystem for a fascinating look at nature up close.

Marine Biology Trip: Students registered in SBI4U (Gr. 12 Biology) next year have the opportunity to participate in a marine biology trip to St. Andrew N.B. in September. Please speak to Mrs. McLaughlin today in room 322 if you are interested in the trip.

High School Intramurals: High School Intramural Volleyball will begin Friday with Derek is Hot taking on Sexy Squad and Funky Monkeys play Power Puff Girls. Scoring are Christina, Robyn and Kristina. Check the board outside the gym for the full schedule. Captains need to be at the gym by 11:45 to help set up. Games start at 11:50.

Leadership Camp: A reminder that all Leadership Camp application forms are due TODAY in room 212 (before the end of period 2).

CHEO Telethon: Students who signed up to participate in the CHEO Telethon are asked to come to a brief meeting on Friday, June 2, at 12:00 noon in room 302. If you can't attend, please meet Mrs. Belloni at the Nortel Networks Buildings (on Moodie Dr.) at 9:00 am sharp on Sunday, June 4.

High School Athletes: This year's Athletic Banquet and Awards ceremony is scheduled for Monday, June 12th at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be distributed to athletes between Wednesday and Friday of next week. Any athletes with outstanding Athletic Fees ($30) and/or Team uniforms must return these to their Coach or Mr. Liska immediately. Athletic banquet tickets and yearbooks will be withheld from those with outstanding items.

Alberta Trip: Could all the students who applied to go to the Alberta trip next year go to room 103 at 11:45 TODAY for a short, but very important meeting. This includes the students in grade 8.

Stratford Trip: Students who are going on the Stratford Festival field trip next October are to attend a brief meeting at the beginning of lunch TODAY in room 300. Other students interested in this trip are also welcome to attend.

LIVE IT: There is an important LIVE IT meeting TODAY, after school, regarding tomorrow's activities. Please be there so we know who is doing what for the Obstacle Course!

REACH FOR THE TOP: Championship match-up between the Alpha-Beta Carrots and the Undefeated Dancing Lemons will take place in the LIBRARY (the Lion's Den) AT LUNCH TODAY. The contestants should be PUMPED UP AND ready to roll - the game should run from 11:45 to 12: 20. Spectators are more than welcome.

Cheerleading: There will be an open practice once again TODAY after school for anyone interested in trying out for the high school cheerleading team next year. Interested in Singing: Mother Teresa's Vocal Group is hoping to add baritone parts to the songs which we are learning. Boys interested in singing these parts are asked to join us at practice Wednesday and Friday morning at 7.30 a.m. in the music room. This style of singing is an excellent preparation for students who wish to be involved in musical theatre.
