ATTENTION GRADS - DEADLINE FOR YOUR GRAD WRITE-UP is the end of the first week back in January (January 12th). You can bring it in hard copy to Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services, or follow the directions on the sheet as to how to submit it to the teacher mailbox. You can also e-mail it to Janet_Birmingham@occdsb.on.ca.

Please make sure to follow ALL writing guidelines for your comments, including proper sentences, capitalization, punctuation and only approved abbreviations. Only students who follow these guidelines will have their write-up published in the yearbook. All write-ups must be submitted by the deadline.

Student Council Semi-Formal 2007: Tickets for the Semi-formal dinner/dance will be on sale to all grade 9-12 students from January 15-19, 2007. Congratulations: Six Mother Teresa students have been chosen for literary awards by the Royal Canadian Legion for their entries in the Remembrance Day contest. Flu Clinic: Ottawa Public Health will be running a flu shot clinic TODAY from 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm in the cafeteria gym. Consent forms will be available at the clinic. Parental consent is required for students 13 years of age and under. Those who receive the vaccine will be asked to remain in the clinic area for a short period of time following the injection. Please note that the Meningococcal C vaccine will also be available at flu shot clinics for those 12-20 years of age. Subject to fulfilling their contracts, Pages are paid $10,800 in 26 equal payments over a 12-month period. In addition, a sum of $1,200 will be paid at the end of the employment period in August, 2008. To qualify you must have an overall average of at least 80% in your final marks in Grade 11 as well as maintain this average in subsequent transcripts of your marks. You must speak both official languages at the superior level as evaluated by the House of Commons. Please note that science and engineering students are unfortunately ineligible due to heavy study demands and inflexibility of their academic timetables.
