Outdoor Club: There is an important meeting for all Outdoor Club members TODAY (tomorrow) at lunch in room 103. We need to plan our activities for Mountain Biking and need to know if you have a mountain bike. Please be there.

Intramurals: High School Intramurals are set to begin! All Students wishing to play Indoor Soccer Intramurals are to come to the Tuck Shop in the Atrium and register their team starting Friday. Forms can be picked up in advance and the deadline is next Friday. Teams must be made up of no more than 4 MT soccer players and must include at least 1 female player (one female and/or one male must be on at all times). Cost to enter a team is $1 per player - Money should be submitted with the team form. Any questions, please see Mr. Prigent or Ms. Coyle.

Ultimate Frisbee: Congratulations to the Gr. 7 & 8 Ultimate Frisbee Team. The team made it to the "A" quarter-finals at the tournament on Friday. They deployed great sportsmanship and were excellent representatives of Mother Teresa H.S. They will be a force to be reckoned with next year. Great work, team! You made the coach, Ms. Fields, very proud.

This is an opportunity for students in high school to meet representatives from more than 30 volunteer organizations. This is a good way to do some community service hours.

Memories: We are looking for students to submit any pictures they may have taken during school events, activities, and sports to the yearbook club. We are most in need of the sports pics from games and tournaments! If you have any pictures you would like to submit, please save them on a CD and bring the CD to Ms Stephenson in Rm. 315 or to Ms. Birmingham in Rm. 207. We are also looking for any pictures that teachers or students took during leadership camp!

Enrichment Group: Students interested in attending the NAC theatre field trips this year must see Mrs. Brady ASAP with your permission form. The first play is next week. The final list of participants must be finalized this week. Any student who did not pick up a permission letter may do so this week in room 322.

Saturday International Language Classes: Please be advised that this Saturday, September 24, is the last opportunity for high school students in Grades 9 through 12 to register in the International Languages Program. These courses may count as credits towards your diploma. Students can register at the St. Pius X High School main office tomorrow morning (Saturday, September 24) at 9:00 a.m.

The Food Bank is in need of volunteers for the Thanksgiving Food Drive (September 23rd to October 16th) for bag folding at the warehouse located at 1317 Michael Street and Flyer handout at various Loblaws stores. School Photos
: School Photos will be taken TOMORROW, Sept. 9 for all students in Grades 7 to 12. All students should have their picture taken regardless of whether they intend to purchase a package. These photos will be used in the yearbook. Grad photos will be taken in November for all students who intend to graduate this year.

Leadership Camp: There will be an important meeting TODAY at 2:45 in the Library for students who signed up for leadership camp in June.

O.S.A.I.D. - Mother Teresa Students Against Impaired Drivers is looking for Youth with a Conscience to help inform the M.T. community about the perils of Impaired Driving. Come share your voice and creativity with this award winning group at lunch TODAY in room 107.

Girls Basketball: Any girls in grades 9-12 who are interested in trying out for this year’s Basketball team are invited to a tryout on TODAY at 3:15 sharp in the gym. Please see Mrs. Borland in Rm. 209 if you have any questions or concerns.

2 - There will be a meeting TODAY at 3:10 in room 120 (music room) for all students in grade 8 who are interested in joining the intermediate band. This is also open to grade 7 students; however participants must have at least one year of experience playing a concert band instrument.
